James Packer - Crown Limited chairperson and inheritor of the Consolidated Press Holdings company from father Kerry Packer - has sold his Sydney mansion ‘La Mer’ for the highest price ever paid for an Australian property. While the exact total hasn’t been disclosed, it is believed to be over $60million, possibly even $70million – and the buyer has recently been revealed too. It was reported earlier this week that billionaire businessman Dr Chau Chak Wing was the purchaser of the mega-mansion in Vaucluse, as sold by Christie’s International in association with Sotheby’s International.
