Animal keeping - Animal keeping means the use of premises for boarding, breeding or training animals, or an ancillary holding facility or machinery repairs and servicing.
Bulk landscape supplies - Bulk landscape supplies means the use of premises for the bulk storage and sale of mainly non-packaged landscaping and gardening supplies, including, for example, soil, gravel, potting mix or mulch.
Caretaker's accommodation - Caretaker's accommodation means the use of premises for a dwelling for a caretaker of a non-residential use on the same premises.
Cropping - Cropping means the use of premises for growing and harvesting plants, or plant material, that are cultivated in soil, for commercial purposes; or
harvesting, storing or packing plants or plant material grown on the premises; or
repairing and servicing machinery used on the premises.
Dual occupancy (auxiliary unit) - A Dual occupancy where both dwellings are owned by the same person on one land title and the Auxiliary unit:
(a) has a maximum of two bedrooms;
(b) has no more than one kitchen;
(c) has no more than one living space;
(d) together with the Dwelling house or primary dwelling, has only one vehicle crossover;
(e) has a maximum gross floor area of 70m2 if in the residential zone category and on a lot less than
1,000m2, or 100m2 otherwise. Editor's note - A Dual Occupancy that is an auxiliary unit differs from a secondary dwelling in that the two dwellings in a Dual occupancy that is an auxiliary unit may be occupied by different households. A secondary dwelling must be occupied by persons who form one household with the main dwelling.
Dwelling house - Dwelling house means a residential use of premises involving-
(a) 1 dwelling for a single household and any domestic outbuildings associated with the dwelling; or
(b) 1 dwelling for a single household, a secondary dwelling and any domestic outbuildings associated with either dwelling.
(Secondary dwelling means a dwelling, whether attached or detached, that is used in conjunction with, and subordinate to, a dwelling house on the same lot. Editor's note-A secondary dwelling differs from a Dual Occupancy that is an auxiliary unit in that a secondary dwelling must be occupied by persons who form one household with the main dwelling. Environment facility - Environment facility means the use of premises for a facility for the appreciation, conservation or interpretation of an area of cultural, environmental or heritage value.
Home-based business - Home-based business means the use of a dwelling or domestic outbuilding on premises for a business activity that is subordinate to the residential use of the premises.
Intensive animal industry - Intensive animal industry means the use of premises for the intensive production of animals or animal products, in an enclosure, that requires food and water to be provided mechanically or by hand; or storing and packing feed and produce (as an ancillary use).
Intensive horticulture - Intensive horticulture means the use of premises for the intensive production of plants or plant material carried out indoors on imported media; or the intensive production of plants or plant material carried out outside using artificial lights or containers; or storing and packing plants or plant material grown on the premises (as an ancillary use).
Market - Market means the use of premises on a regular basis for selling goods to the public mainly from temporary structures, including, for example, stalls, booths or trestle tables; or providing entertainment, as an ancillary use.
Nature-based tourism - Nature-based tourism means the use of premises for a tourism activity, including accommodation for tourists, for the appreciation, conservation or interpretation of an area of environmental, cultural or heritage value; or a local ecosystem; or the natural environment.
